🚨 RickRunGood Has Entered Its Live Era
Shot-By-Shot Tracker & New Golfer Profiles
I’ve been teasing new tools on RickRunGood.com for a few weeks now, and I’ve just pushed them live. Below, you’ll learn more about:
1) Shot-by-Shot Event Center
2) Brand New Golfer Profile Pages
The best news of all, there’s no price increase. There’s no add-ons. If you’re a RRG member, this is an upgrade to your membership.
I’m proud to make constant updates to the site and these are some of my biggest yet. I hope you enjoy.

Shot-by-Shot Event Center & Live Strokes Gained Metrics
This a collaborative deal with IMG Arena which has been doing a lot of great work in the golf space recently. They take data seriously and I love that about them.

Scorecards with FWs, Driving Distances, GIR & Made Putt Distance
This is something that started around the Ryder Cup. I met with the IMG team in Rome and learned more about the product offerings. We sat at the first tee and I literally timed how long it took for a shot to be tracked — from the time it left the clubface to the time it appeared in the feed:

8 seconds. It was 8 seconds. The ball was probably in the air for four of those seconds! The technology actually uses launch angle, ball speed and a million other factors to predict where the ball will land. Like a simulator, it’s predicting the outcome within moments of the ball leaving the clubface.

Follow a specific group or watch a specific hole
They have a very good idea of where it’s going to land almost instantly, then when it actually comes to rest, one of their employees on the hole confirms it’s location with GPS. It’s pretty remarkable stuff.
From my perspective, RickRunGood.com has always been a good place to look forward (at the next event) or look back (historical data) but it’s never really offered a lot of live data. Because it’s hard. Because it’s expensive. Because there are so many things that can go wrong.
This is my attempt to fill that gap and make RRG a destination all seven days of the week. You guys know that I am the site’s biggest power user. And I add things that I will enjoy. I love this and I know you will too.
🏆 New Golfer Profile System
The latest tool re-design has just been launched for the Golfer Profiles which takes a big step in making RickRunGood a much more cohesive site where each pages speaks to one another.
⏰ Round-By-Round Strokes Gained
⛳ Finishes, Salary, Fpts, Odds
👍 (6) Different Tours
🏆 Rankings vs. all golfers OR current field

The main page allows you to search through all the golfers in the database and also filter them based on whether they are active (aka, not retired), in any field this week or are listed amongst your favorites.
You can choose to have your favorites always remain or clear each week for your per-tournament needs.

Scottie Scheffler’s Rankings (LOLLL)
The goal was to take as much data as possible and present it in a consumable manner. The Ranking system above is one of my favorite visualizations to better understand the skill-set of each golfer — which can be compared against all other golfers OR the other players in the field that week.

The round-by-round data is now available within the Golfer Profiles, something that was previously only available on the Holy Grail. Dropping down any tournament row will expose each round.
The big theme here is cohesion. The Golfer Profiles now speak to the Custom Model. Meaning that if you favorite a golfer on the Golfer Profiles page, he will be favorited in the Custom Model (and vice versa).
Additionally, if you’re on the Custom Model and want to learn more about a golfer, clicking his name will take you to his Golfer Profile page.
Give it a try and let me know what you think!
